One of the most meaningful ways to welcome spring is by creating a beautiful Easter tablescape for family and friends to gather around. A thoughtfully styled Easter table setting is the perfect way to say “Happy Easter” with your home decor! I find that when I combine layered place settings, soft spring colors, a few Easter decorations, and a simple centerpiece, the entire dining room feels fresh and ready for celebration.

How to Create a Beautiful Easter Tablescape
A beautiful easter tablescape starts with a soft color palette and layered place settings on your dining table. Begin with a neutral table runner, add coordinated easter table decorations, and create a simple easter centerpiece using fresh flowers like fresh tulips or hydrangeas. Finish the easter table setting with charming easter decorations such as ceramic bunnies, pastel eggs, and taper candles to create a welcoming easter brunch table filled with fresh spring decor.

Start with a Fresh Spring Color Scheme
Every beautiful easter tablescape begins with a thoughtful color scheme to blend with the aesthetic of your home. Choosing a cohesive color palette helps create a table that feels balanced and visually calm. If you love seasonal styling, Easter decorating is a wonderful way to refresh your home with soft colors and charming details.
For this design, I chose a light combination of blue and green accented with crisp white and touches of vintage brass. I love how these colors blend beautifully with the traditional colors of spring decor while also tying in with coastal cottage look of our home.
The palette includes:
- Soft coastal blue
- Gentle sage green
- Creamy white
These shades pair beautifully with spring patterns like scalloped place mats, linen napkins with fringe, and chinoiserie accents. Using a limited color palette also helps keep your Easter table decorations feeling intentional rather than overly busy, even with layered patterns.
I added a patterned table runner down the center of the dining table to add pattern while grounding the entire Easter table setting. For an extra seasonal touch, you can also layer a green moss runner or even real grass beneath your centerpiece like I did on this Easter tablescape to bring a spring garden-inspired feel to the table.
When your spring decor follows a consistent color scheme and intentional patterns, the entire dining room feels cohesive with a fresh look for spring and the Easter holiday.

Layer the Easter Table Setting
Layering is one of the easiest ways to elevate your Easter table setting and create a welcoming table your guests will admire.
For this table I created six colorful place settings, each layered with simple elements (mostly thrifted or things I’ve had for many years) that feel elegant without being “too fancy”. I hope that thoughtfully styled place settings make family and friends feel special and set the tone for the entire meal.

Each of the place settings includes:
- Green scalloped place mat
- Classic white dinner plate from our everyday dishes
- Soft blue salad plate that I inherited from my grandma
- Thrifted green dessert dish
- Chinoiserie Easter eggs
- Light blue linen napkins with a gold bunny napkin ring
- Matte gold flatware
The cotton/linen, blue and green patterned table runner anchors the table and visually connects each of the eight place settings to tie the entire Easter tablescape together. The layered pattern and colors of linens, green and blue dishes, and ceramic plates help create a table that feels relaxed yet beautifully styled.
Taking a little extra time to thoughtfully arrange each of the place settings is one of the easiest ways to elevate your Easter table decorations and create a pretty gathering space for this special holiday.

Create an Easy Easter Centerpiece
The Easter centerpiece is often the focal point of an Easter tablescape, so keeping it fresh and natural helps bring the beauty of spring indoors.
For this centerpiece, I opted for very simple elements since the place settings are full of color and pattern.
Flowers almost feel like a must-have for an Easter table centerpiece so I used this thrifted chinoiserie style vintage vase as my starting point. Next, I added gorgeous faux tulips. While I do love using fresh flowers, these faux tulips look so realistic and are perfect for everyday styling!
Since the patterned table runner is so pretty, I didn’t want to cover it up too much. I flanked the tall vase of tulips with thrifted brass candle holders to tie in with the gold bunny napkin rings. These soft blue fluted taper candles have a realistic flicker and the wax finish is beautiful.
Along with my small, rechargeable gold table lamps, this Easter table centerpiece offers a lot of ambiance with a cozy, intimate style for family and friends.
A thoughtfully designed Easter centerpiece doesn’t need to be complicated or expensive. Sometimes the most beautiful decorations simply highlight fresh flowers and the natural colors of the spring and Easter season.

Add Simple Easter Decorations
Small details and subtle charm can bring personality to add to your Easter tablescape. This is where the little touches of Easter decorations can add the most to your table decor.
This tablescape probably has the least amount of Easter decorations that I’ve ever used for an Easter table setting. At the same time, it shouts spring and Easter to me in just the right amount of ways!
Decorative accents I used for this simple Easter tablescape:
- Gold bunny napkin rings beside each dinner plate
- Chinoiserie Easter eggs at each place setting
- Realistic faux tulips
- Blue and green block print table runner
By focusing on the color palette rather than as many Easter-specific elements, the Easter table decorations feel organic rather than overly themed. This table decor can also be enjoyed throughout the spring season by reusing the blue and green table linens, thrifted vase, heirloom dishes, and realistic tulips.
To create a cohesive look and style throughout our home, I used a similar color palette and decor style in other areas like the living room, family room, and kitchen.

Incorporate Candlelight for an Inviting Atmosphere
Lighting is often an overlooked element of table styling, but it plays an important role in creating a warm and welcoming dining room.
For this Easter tablescape, I added elegant taper candles in soft blue and chinoiserie prints in thrifted brass candle holders placed along the center of the dining table. The gentle glow of taper candles creates a cozy atmosphere for guests.
The lamp light and candlelight also highlights the pretty print of the table runner, the delicate tulips, and the soft colors of the layered place settings. We often talk about creating a cozy glow and lots of ambiance during the fall and winter months but a touch of that glow is perfect for spring and summer too. This lamp light gives just the right amount of light for a small dinner party setting. I also keep these small lamps on our dining table for everyday style.
Even during daytime gatherings like an Easter brunch table, candles add a sense of occasion and elevate the look and style of the overall Easter table setting.

Extend Easter Decorating Throughout the Home
Once your Easter tablescape is complete, it’s easy to extend the same spring decor into other areas of your home.
