*The garland below is VERY popular & sometimes out of stock.  Find my other two favorite realistic faux garlands here & here.  I use all three in my house & love them!

If you invest in nothing else this season, this realistic garland will make all of your favorite Christmas decor ideas feel fresh and new while blending with a variety of styles.  I hang it in doorways, around windows, across mantels, down the center of the table, over the headboard…truly, everywhere!

It looks and feels so real and I always have people touching it when they walk through to see if it’s real or not!

*Note: quality is really important to me.  I have Norfolk pine garland from a few different places and THIS one is definitely the better quality.

I especially love the realistic stem/branch part of it.  It is thinner and a lot easier to style on my fireplace mantel or centerpiece in the dining room.

If I had to choose just one very favorite decoration that I use each year with my favorite Christmas decor ideas, it would probably have to be this gorgeous mercury glass ornament Christmas garland.  I have it in both the taupe and white and also the gold color.

Pro Tip:  Mix metallic accents for a festive season!

This year, I am hanging one on my fireplace mantel along with our Christmas stockings.  Then, I am also stringing it across the top of the mantel for extra sparkle and a festive touch.

This ornament Christmas garland is perfect to combine with your favorite greenery down the center of the table for a quick and easy centerpiece.  You can even add your own lights for an extra festive look.

These are my favorite ornaments to use all around our home and I know you’ll love them too!  I love that they mix with so many playful details while bringing an elegant and timeless look to Christmas decor ideas.

Pro Tip:  They go up in price every holiday season before selling out, or at least they have for the past few years.  If you want one, I highly recommend ordering soon!!!

It is the honest truth when I say that I don’t usually purchase Christmas pillows.  Literally, almost never.  However, this one was just too good!

I love the neutral colors, creamy whites, and the size.  This style will allow me to use it for a long time, even if I choose a different Christmas color palette over the years.

At the same time, it looks so pretty on the sofa but it would also be perfect to take centre stage for Christmas style and texture to a bed too.  Plus, it’s just so super cute for a festive home and inexpensive too!

If it is sold out online, make sure to check your stores!

I almost really consider this one a must have for a festive look, especially since it is a really easy way to add a cozy glow around our home for the holiday season.

Actually, I have ordered several sets over the past few years, including last season, because they add so much holiday cheer during this time of year.  I love having candlelight around our home and have tried many different battery-operated taper candles over the years.

However, these are definitely my very favorites.  First of all, they are much more reasonably priced than some of the high end ones I’ve found.  Secondly, I love that they have a remote, a real wax finish, and a realistic flickering motion.

You’ll be seeing these on my dining table, mantel, and console tables all Christmas season and through the winter months too!

I don’t consider my favorite Christmas decor ideas to be complete without lots of Christmas trees.  There is something about an evergreen tree with pretty white lights that just makes me feel the spirit of the season in such a cozy way!  Even though these Christmas trees aren’t evergreen, they are incredibly realistic.

In fact, I think these Norfolk pine trees are the most realistic of any faux trees I’ve ever found.  The 36″ size is perfect for tabletop use or even in a planter on the floor.  I have decorated both ways with them and no matter where they are styled, these Norfolk pine trees really look like the real thing!

This year, I want to add one to a vintage concrete planter on a small coffee table in the music room.  Then, I think I’ll add string fairy lights that easily work with two AA batteries on a timer.  It will add such a cozy glow and festive touch to the music room with almost no effort!

I use these adorable tabletop trees (or floor trees) from the late fall all the way through the winter season, until I start to decorate for spring!

Can you even have favorite Christmas decor ideas without pretty Christmas wreaths?!  Am I the only one who eyes the big, fresh, fancy ones each year, thinking this is the year I’ll splurge?  But when it comes right down to it, I can’t argue with a faux wreath that looks just as good!  Plus,  I can use it year after year!

This one looks so good that even some of my decorating friends were messaging me the first season to ask if it was real!

Also trust me when I say you need two.  The first year I purchased these, I made the mistake of only ordering one and then they sold out before I could get a second one.  I’ve added to my collection over the years and enjoy these gorgeous Christmas wreaths all around our home.

This year, I have two hanging in the living room to flank the gallery wall display over the sofa.  I also hung one in the kitchen on my oven hood.  You can easily add a different color palette with ribbon to fit your personal style, Christmas ornaments, or even battery string lights to really get into the holiday spirit!

Vintage-inspired gold bells are definitely a continuing trend for 2024 and I am totally on board with this trend!  I’ve enjoyed using a lot of pretty gold bells with my favorite Christmas decor ideas for many years and love how they seem to “ring” in the magic of Christmas in such a timeless way.  While, I didn’t purchase the expensive Pottery Barn ones (as fabulous as they are!), a few years ago, I did create my own DIY version.  You can find that easy tutorial HERE.

In more recent years, budget-friendly options for this Christmas bell display have become easier to find.

This is almost an exact look-alike and last season, I ordered two of them on sale.  This year, I’m hanging them in our music room over a huge mirror for a really big statement piece!  I’m debating adding oversized bows to go with the current Christmas trends.  I’m on the fence for this one so stay tuned!  Haha!

Smaller sets are also fun to add around your home.  These pretty vintage inspired bells are the perfect way to add a little sparkle to my Christmas decor.  I like to hang them at each corner of my huge wall mirror but you could hang them anywhere!  At the same time, you could even cut them apart and use several sets to make a  beautiful DIY Christmas garland!

It is always fun to add a different spin and personal style on your favorite Christmas decor items!  And while we are on the subject of bells, this set of small vintage-inspired bells would be the cutest napkin rings!  I plan to use the rest of them as gift tie-ons and ornaments.

I did this last year also and my family was so thrilled to enjoy the Jing-jangling all the way to Indiana with everyone’s cute package tie-ons!  Haha!

What can I say?  These mini vintage style bells fit my theme, my budget, and they are on trend too!

Creating the magic of Christmas in my home is a full sensory experience!  That’s why this amazing candle is another must-have for me!  No matter how pretty the best Christmas decorations may be, it just isn’t Christmas if it doesn’t smell like Christmas!  Who’s with me on that?!

This candle makes our entire home smell magical, adding to our festive decor.  My kids even love it.  The good news is that one candle fills up so much of our home with its perfect holiday scent!

Advent calendars are one of our family’s very favorite things.  You can read all about our DIY Advent Calendar HERE.

I love that our Advent Calendar tradition helps us stop and make time each day to come together as a family and celebrate the real meaning of Christmas.  Our simple kraft paper boxes have a lot of sentimental value for our family and I am so thankful that we started our Advent Calendar tradition many years ago!

If you don’t have space or time for one as extensive as ours (which I totally understand!), here are a couple of options:

This gorgeous wooden Advent calendar house is timeless and would become a family heirloom!  Plus, it would look so beautiful styled with your other favorite Christmas decor ideas!

These adorable boxes are super budget-friendly and could hold a little gift for everyone in the family!

Are you seeing the on-going Christmas trends of woven finishes in home decor everywhere?  Last season, they were popular and I am happy to see woven finishes making a big statement this year too because I love using them in my own Christmas decor ideas.

Of course, bells are a timeless Christmas symbol and have been part of favorite Christmas decor ideas for generations.  So, it is fun to see the timeless bells come together with the beautiful and textural style of a woven finish.

This set of woven bell ornaments is so cute, budget-friendly, and would blend beautifully with almost any style. I think they would make an amazing garland too, stringing together several sets!

Pro Tip: I might consider taking the bow and greenery off and using the bells on their own!  Don’t be afraid to take pre-arranged decor apart to fit your aesthetic!

I use these little wooden, unpainted nutcrackers all over our house every year!  Nutcrackers have such a traditional and festive style for favorite Christmas decor ideas and they always remind me of Tchaikovsky’s Nutcracker, which is one of my most favorite classical works of music!

I even directed a children’s musical theater production of it when I taught music.  Soooo fun and it’s still one of my favorite memories from directing!

I love how these unpainted ones add the traditional touch with a little bit of the European farmhouse, light wood, simple, neutral look too!  You can also use the small ones as pretty wooden ornaments on a Christmas tree too.

These adorable nutcrackers are inexpensive and I love how this set has several different styles.  The miniature ones also make great gift tie-ons to add to your gift wrap style and make the gift wrap part of your Christmas tree decoration!

When I tell you these stems literally style themselves, I’m not kidding!  One of my favorite vignettes last year was with my large stoneware crock and three of these faux Norfolk pine stems.  I didn’t fluff them or do anything.  I just stuck them in the crock, letting them fall different directions, and it was definitely a favorite!  In fact, I left it all winter long!

If you love using a real Christmas tree or real Christmas tree stems in your decor, you need these!  They look so incredibly realistic.

I also made the mistake of only ordering 3 when I first bought them.  Now, I add a few more to my collection every year because I love them that much.

Sometimes a Christmas garland is just a little “too extra” or even too big and these do the these do the trick perfectly I’ll decorate with these from Thanksgiving all the way through February!  Just add a few pine cones to replace the Christmas gold ornaments and you’re all set for winter decor!

Favorite Christmas Decor Ideas #14

If you thought we were done with bells, think again!  This gorgeous Christmas garland made with jumbo jingle bells was an addition to my collection of favorite Christmas decor ideas last year and I ended up ordering a second one because I love it so much!

The gold finish blends perfectly with all of my vintage brass decor.  Last year, I combined thejingle bell garland with the gold ornament garland I told you about and hung them along the front of the fireplace mantel.

This year, I think I’ll add them over the vintage arch window in the back living room, combined with some realistic looking greenery.  The touch of gold gives such a festive touch and the bells are a fun alternative to the usual Christmas tree ornament garlands!

This year, I am adding more touches of blue to my neutral and green Christmas decorations.  THESE green ornaments are the perfect green to a high-end look for a super budget-friendly price.  The green blends perfectly with the classic “Serena and Lily” Christmas green color, which is perfect since I love those colors and the timeless style.

If you need a touch of green texture, THESE green ornaments are the perfect budget-friendly pieces to add to your Christmas trees and ornament collection!

Favorite Christmas Decor Ideas #16

I actually use this faux eucalyptus all year round, which is why it is also a must-have, favorite Christmas decor idea for me, even though it isn’t technically Christmas decor at all!  I absolutely love using it during the Christmas and winter seasons, layered under cedar or pine garland.

My favorite way to decorate with Christmas garlands is by taking a few different kinds of winter greenery and mixing them together.  Even though THIS garland is not winter, it adds the perfect texture and color to evergreen, cedar, and pine garlands.  Since I also use it in the spring and summer, it’s a great decor piece to have on hand for table decor year round!

I use this combination on the mantel or down the center of the table for tablescapes too.  This eucalyptus garland is SO realistic and you can’t beat the price!

This garland is an especially great investment when you can use it for other seasons!  I even used some at our niece’s wedding reception for decor and it blended it perfectly with the fresh eucalyptus.  That’s how realistic this eucalyptus garland really is!

One of my favorite collections to decorate with during the Christmas season are my thrifted vintage French horn candle stick holders.  I have all different sizes and they are definitely one of my most favorite Christmas decor ideas.  Often, I get requests for links to purchase them and I am so excited that there are finally some great options available with the new Christmas decor collections!

THIS one is so beautiful and would make gorgeous addition to any Christmas vignette!

Also, be sure to watch throughout the year at thrift stores, flea markets, and antique shops.  You may be able to find some great vintage pieces to start your own collection!

Favorite Christmas Decor Ideas #18

I have to admit, ordered these adorable tabletop trees on a bit of a whim a few years ago but I am so glad I did!  What a great look that is easy to style in any room with your favorite Christmas decor ideas!  I love that these tabletop trees have different light settings and work on a timer.

At the same time, they are the perfect sizes to make a statement on a console, sofa, or entryway table.

These pretty tabletop trees have that perfect simplistic look without feeling empty, if that makes sense!  Love, love, love the pre-lit tree option.  These Christmas trees are a bit more of an investment, but I’d rather have these than a bunch of less-quality big box store trees, especially now that I’ve had them for several years and they still look brand new!

I’m the first to admit that if you do lots of stocking gifts, these aren’t big enough.  But really, can you ever have too many decorative stockings?

I hung these Christmas stockings from our mantel last year and they looked so super cute.  The smaller size actually made them a bit easier to decorate with and you can’t beat the price for a set of 4 matching!

The chunky knit texture adds such a cozy look to any mantel or create a garland of them to hang at the foot of a bed or along a bookshelf!  So many possibilities for such a budget-friendly decor staple!

I know this is technically a list of favorite Christmas decor ideas, but I always set these beautiful deer (similar) out with my fall decorations and then enjoy them all winter long!  I love that the deer add another texture with the brass and a definite vintage vibe.  I also watch for these anytime I’m out vintage hunting!  Brass deer are so fun to decorate with and are perfect to tuck into any winter vignette, especially with battery-operated candles!

Pro Tip:  While I love all things vintage, I am not actually able to use candles with my real vintage brass deer.

That’s why I love THESE brass deer candle holders so much.  Even though these are new pieces, they are the perfect match for vintage and they hold my candles perfectly!

Last season, we were overdue for a new Christmas tree, as our previous one had only one small section of Christmas lights that still worked and we were kind of over stringing lights over the non-working Christmas lights!  Haha!

After a lot of research, asking some of my favorite decorating friends for advice, lots of shopping, and a sale coupon, we decided to make an investment into a gorgeous Balsam Hill artificial Christmas tree.  I couldn’t get over how quick and easy it was to set up and fluff.  This beautiful tree created such a magical glow for the whole Christmas season.

I am already so excited to set it up in a few weeks with our traditional family tree decorating night!  It is one of my favorite things to do each Christmas season as a family!  If you’re looking for a new artificial Christmas tree this year, I cannot recommend ours enough.  Different sizes are available also.

Favorite Christmas Decor Ideas #22

In keeping with the beautiful blue and green color palette for my Christmas decor this year, I ordered these gorgeous pillow covers.  Since I love the Serena and Lily style but don’t have the budget for most of it, I’m always keeping an eye out for home decor accents that will give me the look for the Christmas season without the heavy price tag.

These floral throw pillows appear blue online but are really more of a gorgeous green.  I love that these throw pillows aren’t specific to Christmas so I can use them throughout the winter for some rich jewel tones to mix with the light, bright cottage style that we enjoy in our home!

Favorite Christmas Decor Ideas #23

Velvet texture is a perfect way to add warmth and coziness to Christmas decorating.  Part of my Christmas decor ideas this year center around adding more green and blue colors.  These green velvet throw pillows are STUNNING and have a really high end look for such a great price.

I am a big fan of the Chris Loves Julia brand and these pillows live up to the great quality of their brand.  I love the color and the touch of blue on the trim of these throw pillows!

Favorite Christmas Decor Ideas #24

Adding a greeting at the front door is the perfect way to welcome family and friends!  I love placing a pretty door mat at our door.  However, I don’t love spending a lot of money on a door mat that is only going to be out for a short season.

That’s why I ordered THIS gorgeous door mat this year!  It has a high end look and pairs perfectly with THIS layered striped mat.  Since both of them are budget-friendly, they are great options for a welcome view without spending a lot of money!

Favorite Christmas Decor Ideas #25

One of the Christmas trends from last season that I fell in love with are THESE velvet bows!  There are many different kinds, colors, and sizes so they are perfect for adding to wreaths, Christmas trees, candle holders, place settings, as Christmas tree toppers, gift wrapping, and so many other ways.  I love THESE because the size is great for different styling.

I added the velvet bows to our Christmas tree for extra texture and visual interest.  Attaching the velvet bows to some of my French horn candle holders added a vintage, cottage look that I enjoyed so much and plan to add again this year!
