25 Words to Focus On in the Thanksgiving Season

by | Holidays

Thanksgiving is such a beautiful season!  It can be even more meaningful when you take time to intentionally focus on all the things there are to be thankful for.  In this post, find 25 words to focus on in the Thanksgiving season, complete with free printable and screen savers for every day of November, up through Thanksgiving Day.

I love the Thanksgiving season.  I love how it brings people together.  I love how it allows time for my little family to spend some extra quality time together.  I love the food, the (usually) beautiful South Florida weather, the good mood and sense of festivity that surrounds us.  As a teacher, of course I love the couple of days off of school before the busy Christmas month hits us!  Ha!

Even as the season grows more busy as the month goes by, I have really tried, over the past few years in particular, to not just allow the season to pass me by without some intentional focus.

I know that we should count our blessings every day, not just around Thanksgiving.  I do try to practice that as well.  However, I also think it is incredibly meaningful when we carve out time of an otherwise busy season to really focus on cultivating a thankful, grateful heart.

I have gathered 25 of my favorite quotes and verses about gratefulness and thankfulness.  There is one here for every day from November 1st through Thanksgiving Day.

My hope is that you will take the challenge along with me to focus on a truly grateful heart during this Thanksgiving season.

Not as something to check off your daily to do list (though it can be helpful to jot it down to remind you and help you get into the habit!).  But as an actual effort to create a healthy mindset.

It will not only lift you up, but those around you too.

Feel free to print these, frame them, tape them to your refrigerator, hang them on your cork board, screenshot them as screen savers, or share with a friend.

Most of all, I help they help you and I to focus our minds and hearts during this season.  It is easy to look around and see all the problems, all the heartaches, all the loss and suffering, all the frustrations and disappointments.  There have been many this year.

However, I don’t think we honor God, one another, or ourselves by dwelling there.  Even on the darkest of days, we are blessed beyond measure.

My goal is to make that my focus this month.  Will you join me?
