Summer is officially here (or at least it feels like it) and at least here in South Florida, the heat has most definitely arrived!  In fact, unless I am at the beach or in the pool, I am spending a little more time indoors.  Since I’ve been enjoying the sunshine from inside a little more this week, it’s the perfect time to show you my favorites for summer home decorating.  These budget-friendly summer home decorating finds are helping keep the inside light and breezy while feeling like our summertime retreat!

It’s no secret that vintage and antique decor are my passion.  However, sometimes you just need these perfect accents to pull it altogether.

Today, I’m excited to show you 25 of my favorite things from Amazon for summer home decorating.  Currently, I am using most of them in our living spaces to start getting ready for my summer home tour!  I’ll also show you how I have paired them with my vintage decor for a cozy, light, and breezy summertime style!

25 Best Ideas from Amazon for Easy Summer Home Decorating

What is considered summer decor?

These realistic palm branches.

Seriously, they are so incredibly realistic!  I had pictures of this cabinet with both real palm branches from my yard and my faux ones from Amazon.  Actually, I had to take a double look to make sure I added the correct picture to this post with the faux palm branches!

They have been one of my top sellers all month.  While I love that they are so budget-friendly, only $9.99 for 8 branches, my favorite thing is that they just look so real.

If you’ve followed along for long, you know I am really passionate about only using very quality, realistic faux greenery and florals.

THESE faux palm branches are a must-have for me.  You can style them alone or even mix them with an arrangement of fresh flowers! At the same time, they will add a simple, easy summer vibe for your home as well!

This light-weight throw blanket is perfect for cozy summer evenings!

It is starting to get SO hot here.  I mean, we are headed toward “heat index over 100 most days” kind of hot.  The thought of curling up with a blanket this time of year is suffocating, to be honest.  EXCEPT for this light-weight throw blanket!

It is beyond soft and cozy. At the same time, the light-weight gauzy fabric makes it the perfect summer throw blanket and it gets a lot of use in our home.  It comes in different colors so you can match your summer decor perfectly.

Warning: you’ll need more than one because everyone in the house is going to want to be this cozy for summer!

This coral looks SO real!

Just a little touch of coastal is all it takes to bring a fresh summer look to a space!  Real coral can be extremely pricey.  In fact, a piece of real coral this same size would cost over $75, minimum, here in Florida and probably a lot more!

So, this realistic piece of coral is a super budget-friendly way to bring a pretty coastal accent and the feeling of summer beach days to any room.  It literally looks SO real and it even feels real too (watch your fingers!)

Who else is loving tan gingham this year?!

I couldn’t have been more delighted when the tan and white gingham styled picked up this spring.  Not only do I love using it in my house, but I love wearing the print too!

These pillow covers are a steal of a deal and are so pretty.  I’ve enjoyed them in our family room all spring and summer.

This time of year, you’ll want to pack away the heavy pillows and replace them with cool fabrics that breathe for the warmer weather!  The check print is a perfect way to bring in some cottage vibes to a light and airy space with a coastal style too.  It’s an easy change that not only looks pretty, but feels good to the touch too!

Covers for throw pillows are a great way to save storage space too, so it is a double win!  At the same time, the neutral gingham is really fun to layer with other patterns and you can easily style it around your home!

How to decorate front porch for summer?

These concrete planters look so high-end!

What a gorgeous addition this set of 3 concrete planters have made to our outdoor pool area! I can’t say enough good things about them.  At the same time, I would also use them indoors if I had a space.

Bonus: they come in a set of three so you can use them together or split them up!

I shopped around a LOT for planters, going to many different stores and websites.  These are definitely my favorites of all the ones I looked at and the price worked out to be such a great deal also.  We ended up purchasing another set in black to add a focal point to our front porch outdoor spaces.

With the concrete style, I know they will last us for many years to come so they are great investment pieces too!

These woven stacked baskets…functional and pretty!

I added these stacked baskets back in the winter when I was working on home organization and they’ve been a favorite ever since then!  However, I especially love how the baskets add texture and style to my summer decor too!

Whether on a coffee table to hide the remote and magazines, office shelves to house paperwork, nightstand for quick essentials, a bathroom to hide the non-pretty stuff, or for decor on open shelves, these stacked baskets are an easy way to do the trick!  Plus, they are so budget-friendly and come in different colors also.

Pro Tip:  Small changes, like clearing up some clutter with the right kind of pretty storage, is one of the easiest ways to elevate the look of your home!

A cute bag is perfect for functional use AND decorating!

You know how much I love my vintage decor items, right?  So, you understand why this vintage-inspired French market bag is.such a favorite!  It comes in different sizes.  I enjoy using the big one for the beach or flea markets.  I also have a small one that makes a perfect little handbag for evenings out!  Then, when I’m not using it, it hangs on a simple nail in the entryway and doubles as summer decor.  You can’t get much more summery than a beach bag, right?

If you love combining function with decor, this is a winner for you too!

How can I make my room more summery?

Put all functionality aside and just trust me when I say you need this adorable Summer House pillow.  Even if you don’t really do a lot of decorating for summer, this neutral pillow can add an instant, playful summer touch to your space.

I love to think of our home as our own little “summer vacation home” for these special summer months.  What better way to express that than with a super soft, cozy pillow that spells it out?!  Literally.  Haha!

These dishes are perfect for all of your easy summer dining!

Playful pattern, light color, unbreakable melamine, versatile style…all perfect to describe these pretty dishes!  I was a little hesitant when I ordered because, quite honestly, I didn’t need dishes.

However, I am SO GLAD I got them because they look absolutely perfect for summer and make such gorgeous table settings for dining al fresco.  At the same time, the color palette is light and neutral enough that I think they will also be lovely for early fall and the spring season too.

Pro Tip: Mix and match them with existing white dishes if you need more place settings!

These coastal prints.

When I think about the “Coastal Grandmother” summer home decorating style that I love so much, it just seems like our summer house needs to include a great art gallery!  For my summer mantel decor and gallery wall in our family room, I decided to pull all of my thrifted and flea market coastal art together.  Then, to add more variety in size and style, I used THIS gorgeous coastal gallery wall set.  Even though they are prints, they are so realistic and look like beautiful paintings.

You can get different styles of THESE gallery wall sets.  Best of all, they are all under $20 and my coastal art set was under $16!

Favorites for Summer Home Decorating #12

This sea glass filler.

To me, summer home decorating is really all about the details.  I wanted to bring as many natural elements into my coastal cottage decor as I could.  However, sometimes you just need a little shine and sparkle to pop against the patina of the vintage coastal decor.  THIS sea glass is perfect for nautical-inspired decor.  I added sea glass to vintage bottles, filled THIS ruffled bowl with it, and added some to my vintage mortar and pestle collection.

Sea glass is the perfect filler for summer home decorating because it adds a touch of the lighter colors and creates that beach house feeling, no matter where you actually live!

These greenery stems.

Even though I use a lot of fresh cut palm branches from my yard and the faux palm branches that I mentioned earlier, I still like to include other realistic greenery stems to go along with my indoor plants.  THESE greenery stems are the best for spring and summer.  I use them with faux flowers, fresh flowers, or styled on their own in a tall vessel.

If you didn’t get them when I shared them for spring decor, go ahead and order a set now for your summer home decorating.  You’ll use them SO MUCH!  I guarantee it!

This gorgeous wreath for the front door.

While we are on the subject of flowers and greenery for summer home decorating, I simply have to show you this beautiful white forsythia wreath.  I ordered it for my spring decor and currently have it on our side door where I see it many times every day as I come and go.  I absolutely love it!  In fact, I’m probably going to order a second one so I can use the pair on our front doors.

Even though the white is a neutral color, they add such vibrant hues for a light and airy summer season style.

These jute ottomans.

I wanted to add some extra seating and get double duty with it as some comfy foot rests for the slipcovered chairs in our family room.  THESE jute ottomans are perfect!  I love the combination of the white and jute.  The two-toned style reminds me of some really high-end decor styles.  However, these jute ottomans were very budget-friendly!

Plus, the jute brings in some natural materials that feel just right for a coastal or nautical-inspired decor style!  They are a really easy summer home decorating idea that you can enjoy all year long too!

More favorites for summer home decorating:

16. Gold pineapples are perfect for small vignettes, add to decor under a cloche, or use for individual place settings for table decor.

17. Add vibrant colors to your table decor with these gorgeous blue napkins These blue napkins can be used for everyday summer use or add a touch of red for patriotic cottage decor too!

18. I swapped out my heavier drop cloth curtains for these light and airy, gauzy striped curtains for the warmer months.  They still offer some shade on sunny days but let in tons of natural light!

19. Sometimes it’s the little things!  This ruffled marble bowl is perfect for an entryway table vignette, shelf decor, or resting atop a stack of pretty coffee table books.  I filled mine with sea glass pieces for the summer!

20. I absolutely love the texture and functional storage these rattan boxes add to our living spaces.  The rattan is perfect for the summer interior design trends and the stackable boxes have plenty of ways to be useful!  Right now, the small box holds the TV remote and my battery operated candle remote on a console table!

21. I am obsessed with these adorable rattan baskets with the scalloped lids.  Even if you don’t need the practical storage (who doesn’t, though?), they add so much texture and interest.  Scalloped edges are one of the big summer interior design trends and these baskets are perfection!

22. I’ve shared these gorgeous flowers before, but you just can’t have summer home decorating without some pretty flowers, right?  I absolutely LOVE THESE faux hydrangeas.  They are unbelievable realistic, both in the look and touch.  In fact, I love them so much that I purchased several cases of them on sale and am using them for some big upcoming events!  There’s no better time for hydrangeas than the summer season and I’m using these everywhere!

23. Nothing shouts “summer home decorating” like jute finishes!  In addition to the jute ottomans I am loving in our home, jute rugs can add the perfect summer touches.  I always say, you can easily refresh a room just by swapping out the rug!  With the great price on THIS jute rug, it is a very affordable way to add some coastal cottage touches to your home!

24. I am not one to swap out big things like lighting.  In fact, I haven’t changed any of the lighting in our home since we moved in about 7 years ago!  However, when I came across THESE woven pendant lights for such a great price, I thought it was the perfect opportunity to add some summer touches over the kitchen island and lighten things up a little bit too.  I absolutely love them!  These woven lights would also be great in covered outdoor living room, a bedroom, sitting room, or even an entryway!  Rattan is definitely one of the popular trends right now and this is a great way to incorporate the trend with a great statement piece.

25. Last, but most certainly not least, is THIS striped chair.  The blue and white stripes shout summer beach house and the light colors are perfect for an airy space. It’s amazing how just one piece can change the look of the whole room!  THIS gorgeous chair would definitely change a space in all the best ways!
