Cozy. It really is one of the nicest words! During the holiday season, we enjoy all of the fun events that go along with the season. However, at the end of the day, I love coming home to cozy views with our Christmas decorations. Some of my favorite vignettes are Christmas candle centerpiece ideas that I’ll share with you today. Bonus: they are all quick, simple, and can be easily tweaked with the decor you already have on hand!

I used to not decorate for winter but now, I enjoy leaving some of my Christmas candle centerpiece ideas out through the winter too. After all, I live in South Florida, where our winter is basically spring or fall for everyone else. Ha! We definitely aren’t getting snow and most days are gorgeous sunshine and 70 degree weather. (Don’t get mad at me, now! You’re welcome to come and visit!)

Over the past couple of years, I have enjoyed doing more cozy winter décor along with my Christmas decorations. It is really nice to take down the Christmas decor after the holiday and still have cozy styles to enjoy around our home.

I decided to embrace the 5:30-6:00 sunset, long evenings, “cool” temps, and make our home extra cozy for these winter months. At the same time, it’s just fun to do a different kind of décor for a couple of months anyway! An simple Christmas centerpiece can easily transition to table decorations for the winter season too.

I have had fun creating some winter and Christmas candle centerpiece ideas and am excited to share them with you. Even the dining room can feel cozy and I love walking through our home and catching these cozy views and festive look on our holiday table.

[/et_pb_text][et_pb_image src=”https://robynsfrenchnest.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/01/Winter-Centerpieces-20210126-13-scaled.jpg” alt=”tablescape with white bowls and golden candlesticks” title_text=”Winter Centerpieces – 20210126 (13)” admin_label=”IMG Table Image” _builder_version=”4.23.1″ _module_preset=”default” global_colors_info=”{}”][/et_pb_image][et_pb_text admin_label=”BLOG TITLE” _builder_version=”4.23.1″ _module_preset=”default” text_font_size=”16px” global_colors_info=”{}”]

[/et_pb_text][et_pb_text admin_label=”Christmas Candle Centerpiece Ideas with a Bowl” _builder_version=”4.23.1″ _module_preset=”default” text_font_size=”16px” global_colors_info=”{}”]

[/et_pb_text][et_pb_text admin_label=”Step 1.0″ _builder_version=”4.23.1″ _module_preset=”default” text_font_size=”16px” global_colors_info=”{}”]

To create this centerpiece, I used a large, antique, French grain bin. You could also use a dough bowl, crate, or basket to create this effect. Even a pretty tray would work great! While real candles would be lovely, I do enjoy having these battery-operated candles flicker on each evening and stay lit until bedtime. It adds some ambiance and certainly some cozy vibes to our home.

I used candles with different heights and layered them with deconstructed books to give even more height variation. A few sprigs of faux, winter greenery finished off the look!

P.S. My favorite deconstructed books are the super cheap thrift store paperbacks with the covers torn off! It’s the perfect, budget-friendly way to add layers and height to your vignettes!

[/et_pb_text][et_pb_image src=”https://robynsfrenchnest.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/01/Winter-Centerpieces-20210126-7-scaled.jpg” alt=”realistic battery candles and faux christmas greenery in a wooden tray” title_text=”Winter Centerpieces – 20210126 (7)” admin_label=”IMG Table Image” _builder_version=”4.23.1″ _module_preset=”default” global_colors_info=”{}”][/et_pb_image][et_pb_image src=”https://robynsfrenchnest.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/01/Winter-Centerpieces-20210126-12-scaled.jpg” alt=”wide view of a simple Christmas tablescape with a festively decorated cabinet behind it” title_text=”Winter Centerpieces – 20210126 (12)” admin_label=”IMG Table Image” _builder_version=”4.23.1″ _module_preset=”default” global_colors_info=”{}”][/et_pb_image][et_pb_divider _builder_version=”4.16″ _module_preset=”default” global_colors_info=”{}”][/et_pb_divider][et_pb_text admin_label=”Christmas Candle Centerpiece Ideas with Taper Candles” _builder_version=”4.23.1″ _module_preset=”default” text_font_size=”16px” global_colors_info=”{}”]

To create this centerpiece, you need:

I didn’t have any pots on hand when I was creating this centerpiece, so after looking around my home, I realized my ironstone chamber pots would work great! I love how the white ironstone looks. Mixing and matching the sizes and styles added more texture and character to my table as well.

Next, I poured a few inches of vase filler rock in my pots and added the candles. An odd number of taper candles works perfectly. I added five candles to my larger pots and three candles to the small bowls.

And as it turns out, I ended up with 13 candles in this DIY Christmas candle centerpiece! It was a happy coincidence, as our daughter turned 13 that week and I used this centerpiece for winter too.

I layered my pots into this old thrifted wagon top, turned into a wooden tray. Then, I added simple shop rags (which we use for napkins), a jar with flatware, and dessert plates for cake!

Just as layering works so beautifully on a mantel or coffee table vignette, it also adds texture and interest to festive centerpieces!

[/et_pb_text][et_pb_image src=”https://robynsfrenchnest.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/01/Winter-Centerpieces-20210126-15-scaled.jpg” alt=”closeup of battery-operated candlesticks in an ironstone bowl” title_text=”Winter Centerpieces – 20210126 (15)” admin_label=”IMG Table Image” _builder_version=”4.23.1″ _module_preset=”default” global_colors_info=”{}”][/et_pb_image][et_pb_image src=”https://robynsfrenchnest.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/01/Winter-Centerpieces-20210126-17-scaled.jpg” alt=”different vessels holding gold candlesticks down the middle of a wooden table” title_text=”Winter Centerpieces – 20210126 (17)” admin_label=”IMG Table Image” _builder_version=”4.23.1″ _module_preset=”default” global_colors_info=”{}”][/et_pb_image][et_pb_image src=”https://robynsfrenchnest.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/01/Winter-Centerpieces-20210126-16-scaled.jpg” alt=”view of a Christmas tablescape in front of wooden cubbies decorated with greenery and mortar and pestles” title_text=”Winter Centerpieces – 20210126 (16)” admin_label=”IMG Table Image” _builder_version=”4.23.1″ _module_preset=”default” global_colors_info=”{}”][/et_pb_image][et_pb_divider _builder_version=”4.16″ _module_preset=”default” global_colors_info=”{}”][/et_pb_divider][et_pb_text admin_label=”Winter Candle Centerpiece Ideas with Metallics” _builder_version=”4.23.1″ _module_preset=”default” text_font_size=”16px” global_colors_info=”{}”]

To create this centerpiece, you need:

I love this centerpiece because you can truly get the same effect in so many different ways. Candle arrangements like this are budget friendly, too, because you can just pull a variety of pieces you have around your home. At the same time, these are great items to thrift for. All of my brass and silver are thrifted, which makes for a really inexpensive Christmas table centerpiece!

To create a curated, vignette look for this easy Christmas centerpiece, I started with a vintage breadboard. This large, German one has such great patina and was a great “junking” find! Breadboards come in a wide range of styles and prices and they make a great base for styling. Over on THIS blog post, I share ideas for decorating a coffee table and why a base can be so helpful for decorating.

Next, I added these vintage, silver chalices. I bought this entire collection at a vintage market several years ago and love to use them for DIY centerpieces. The best part is I feel like they particularly fit the winter months, with the mercury glass pillar candles kind of look! To vary the heights, I layered different heights and sizes. Then, I even stacked some of the chalices for more height variation.

In the wide chalices, I added simple, white pillar candles. I varied the heights of the candles. You could also use votive candles or flameless candles here like I usually do! I only added them to part of the chalices. Remember, the goal here is simple and cozy!

I added a pitcher of fresh flowers, but you could substitute a house plant, faux greenery stems, or fresh cut stems from your yard! Then, just add them to cheap mason jars in the center of your table for a quick floral centerpiece!

[/et_pb_text][et_pb_image src=”https://robynsfrenchnest.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/01/Winter-Centerpieces-20210126-3-scaled.jpg” alt=”view of dining room with a beautiful white apothecary and faux greenery garlands hung across a large mirror” title_text=”Winter Centerpieces – 20210126 (3)” admin_label=”IMG Table Image” _builder_version=”4.23.1″ _module_preset=”default” global_colors_info=”{}”][/et_pb_image][et_pb_image src=”https://robynsfrenchnest.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/01/Winter-Centerpieces-20210126-1-scaled.jpg” alt=”beautiful flower arrangement in an ironstone pitcher and different sizes of candles on smaller gold candlesticks” title_text=”Winter Centerpieces – 20210126 (1)” admin_label=”IMG Table Image” _builder_version=”4.23.1″ _module_preset=”default” global_colors_info=”{}”][/et_pb_image][et_pb_text admin_label=”Christmas Candle Centerpiece Ideas with Glass Cloches” _builder_version=”4.23.1″ _module_preset=”default” text_font_size=”16px” global_colors_info=”{}”]

To create this centerpiece you need:

[/et_pb_text][et_pb_image src=”https://robynsfrenchnest.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/12/Christmas-cloche-candle-centerpiece-2-scaled.jpg” alt=”beautiful flower arrangement in an ironstone pitcher and different sizes of candles on smaller gold candlesticks” title_text=”Christmas cloche candle centerpiece 2″ admin_label=”IMG New Pic 1″ _builder_version=”4.23.1″ _module_preset=”default” global_colors_info=”{}”][/et_pb_image][et_pb_text admin_label=”Christmas Candle Centerpiece Ideas with Glass Cloches CONTINUED” _builder_version=”4.23.1″ _module_preset=”default” text_font_size=”16px” global_colors_info=”{}”]

I literally threw this easy Christmas centerpiece together at the last minute for some decoration on the dinner table. However, I love how it turned out and left it for the Christmas season!

First, I added three glass cloches with wooden risers. Mine do not match but this style would also be beautiful with matching cloche and base sets, like THIS.

For variety, I added brass candlesticks under the middle glass cloche. Then, under the other two cloches, I added two golden pillar candles. I absolutely love THESE because the glass has a pretty shimmer.

Next, I would two different winter greenery garlands around the wooden risers and topped it with a bell garland. I have had this one for many years but THIS one would be beautiful too. I also love the idea of a pretty ornament garland, like THIS, for a Christmas candle ring centerpiece.

That’s it! So super easy but by using multiple cloches, it makes a pretty focal point on the dinner table.[/et_pb_text][et_pb_image src=”https://robynsfrenchnest.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/12/Christmas-cloche-candle-centerpiece-2-scaled.jpg” alt=”beautiful flower arrangement in an ironstone pitcher and different sizes of candles on smaller gold candlesticks” title_text=”Christmas cloche candle centerpiece 2″ admin_label=”IMG New Pic 2″ _builder_version=”4.23.1″ _module_preset=”default” global_colors_info=”{}”][/et_pb_image][et_pb_text admin_label=”Other Elements to Add for Beautiful Christmas Centerpiece Ideas” _builder_version=”4.23.1″ _module_preset=”default” text_font_size=”16px” hover_enabled=”0″ global_colors_info=”{}” sticky_enabled=”0″]

There are so many ways to accent beautiful centerpieces for the Christmas season. You can add pops of color as a focal point for a festive centerpiece or natural materials to carry you into the winter season. I love creating decor that I can quickly and easily switch from the holiday season into cozy winter decorations for our home!

Here are some fun (and easy!) accents you could incorporate into almost any DIY Christmas centerpiece:

[/et_pb_text][et_pb_text admin_label=”Shop my favorite cozy flameless candles for a stunning centerpiece!” _builder_version=”4.23.1″ _module_preset=”default” text_font_size=”16px” hover_enabled=”0″ global_colors_info=”{}” sticky_enabled=”0″]

These are my favorite battery operated candles that I have and use all around our home for a cozy glow!
