make a simple DIY fall centerpiece.<\/strong> \u00a0This pumpkin centerpiece idea is an especially fun seasonal centerpiece because you can use different fall colors that fit your own home. \u00a0It is also a perfect fall centerpiece to fill the center of your table for the whole season.<\/strong> \u00a0Then, you can simply add pretty place settings, nice dishes, linen napkins, and poof! \u00a0Your gorgeous Thanksgiving table is ready to go too!<\/p>\n \u200bI like to start with a table runner.<\/a><\/strong> \u00a0Of course, you don’t have to. \u00a0However, it can help soften the look and provide some color and style for a stunning fall table!\u00a0 I am using THIS table runner<\/a><\/strong><\/span> a lot this year!<\/p>\n Depending on the length of your table, choose an odd number of pumpkins to be the base. \u00a0For example, 3 large pumpkins would be a good number for my 8 foot table. \u00a0These will be larger pumpkins. \u00a0Typically, a wide pumpkin with a more flat or level shape will work especially well.<\/p>\n Next, choose medium size pumpkins to layer in between the larger ones. \u00a0Think of it as starting to build a pyramid on your farmhouse table! \u00a0If you are going with 3 large pumpkins, then you will want two medium size pumpkins.<\/p>\n Third, choose some smaller pumpkins or even <\/strong>dried gourds<\/span><\/strong><\/a> to stack on and around the large and medium sized pumpkins. \u00a0Avoid putting a single one on the top because you probably do not want to actually complete the pyramid look as your focal point!<\/p>\n island could become the focal point in a larger tablescape for a farmhouse table.<\/strong><\/p>\n A grouping of vintage style vases<\/a><\/strong> with fall foliage that made a simple centerpiece on the kitchen table could be split up and sprinkled around accent tables throughout the entire living space.<\/p>\n One of my go-to DIY fall decorations is to use a large dough bowl<\/a><\/strong> and create a perfect fall centerpiece that can be used several places around our home!<\/p>\n While faux pumpkins can make a lovely seasonal centerpiece, dried gourds<\/a><\/strong> are my favorite to use. \u00a0First of all, I love using natural elements.<\/p>\n Tip: Dried gourds are perfect because they are definitely organic and bring in the natural elements.<\/strong> \u00a0At the same time, I can store them in our dry attic space and use them year after year. \u00a0In the long run, it saves me a lot of money from buying as many real pumpkins!<\/p>\n Secondly, dried gourds each have their own unique shape. \u00a0They allow for a much more organic style of fall table centerpiece.<\/p>\n Thirdly, you can tuck dried stems<\/a>, fall foliage, fall leaves, dried grasses<\/a><\/strong>, or faux flowers<\/a><\/strong> around the dried gourds to create a really amazing floral arrangement. \u00a0Plus, you can add more colors from your fall color scheme.<\/strong> \u00a0At the same time, the foliage or flowers<\/a><\/strong> help fill in the visual gaps between the gourds for a more beautiful centerpiece style.<\/p>\n Even though dried gourds are my favorite, you simply cannot go wrong with a bowl of white pumpkins<\/a><\/strong> either! \u00a0Especially for a smaller table centerpiece for a kitchen table, a small dough bowl<\/a><\/strong> filled with white mini pumpkins is
