Summer break is HERE and We. Are. So. Excited! \u00a0That means it is also time to work on transforming our home into our own little “summer vacation house”! \u00a0I am excited to share some budget-friendly summer home decor ideas with you today. \u00a0Seasonal decorating is so fun but it doesn’t need to break the bank! \u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n One of the huge blessings of being a teacher is getting to really enjoy the summer months with my own kiddos.\u00a0 It is not lost on me that the years are FLYING by. \u00a0T<\/strong>he amount of summers that I have left with our oldest at home are quickly shrinking.\u00a0 It makes me more determined than ever to carve out special moments and those begin right at home.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n While we have some amazing memories of summer vacations and trips, I want to beef up our memory deposit bank of special moments at home<\/strong>. \u00a0Over the past few years, I decided to work a little harder to help our home have that \u201csummer vacation\u201d vibe.<\/p>\n I\u2019m excited to share these budget-friendly summer home decorating tips with you too!<\/p>\n [\/et_pb_text][et_pb_image src=”https:\/\/robynsfrenchnest.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/Summer-Styling-12-scaled.jpg” alt=”vintage wooden cubby styled with artwork and a vintage mirror behind a chippy white bench a vintage leather suitcase” title_text=”Summer Styling (12)” admin_label=”Before Image” _builder_version=”4.18.0″ _module_preset=”default” global_colors_info=”{}”][\/et_pb_image][et_pb_text admin_label=”Intro” _builder_version=”4.18.0″ _module_preset=”default” text_font_size=”16px” global_colors_info=”{}”]<\/p>\n Whether you\u2019ve started transitioning to summer d\u00e9cor already or are waiting until the holiday weekend, I hope these ideas help you prepare to create a summer vacation home feeling\u2026right at HOME!<\/p>\n For myself, I know I can really be guilty of doing project after project, job after job. \u00a0It seems as though I’m always waiting for my \u201cvacation moments\u201d to be off in another place.\u00a0 The reality is that while home certainly has its busy times and requires consistent and diligent work to maintain, it is also supposed to be a place of refuge.\u00a0 A place to rest.<\/strong><\/p>\n Maybe it\u2019s just our family, but I imagine we aren\u2019t alone.\u00a0 Especially after this crazy year.\u00a0 We need some time to rest at home with our little family!<\/p>\n Since school is almost out, I set to work, trying to create a \u201csummer vacation home\u201d vibe in our own house!\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n Here are a few ideas to help you get started doing the same:<\/em><\/p>\n [\/et_pb_text][et_pb_text admin_label=”How do I style my house in the summer?” _builder_version=”4.18.0″ _module_preset=”default” text_font_size=”16px” global_colors_info=”{}”]<\/p>\n Here are a few rules of thumb you can fall back on for budget-friendly summer home decorating:<\/p>\n [\/et_pb_text][et_pb_divider _builder_version=”4.16″ _module_preset=”default” global_colors_info=”{}”][\/et_pb_divider][et_pb_text admin_label=”BLOG TITLE” _builder_version=”4.18.0″ _module_preset=”default” text_font_size=”16px” global_colors_info=”{}”]<\/p>\n [\/et_pb_text][et_pb_text admin_label=”1. Greenery” _builder_version=”4.18.0″ _module_preset=”default” text_font_size=”16px” global_colors_info=”{}”]<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Admittedly, this is a super easy one for me, but it may not be quite as natural or easy for you!\u00a0 Our property is lined with areca palms, so I often cut fresh branches and bring them inside<\/strong>.\u00a0 There is nothing like fresh palm branches to add a summer vacation home vibe to the dining room or kitchen island!<\/p>\n However, if you don’t have free and fresh branches available, you will LOVE this tip! \u00a0These faux palm branches look incredibly realistic<\/u><\/a>.<\/strong> \u00a0Plus, they are only $9.99 for a set of 8!<\/u><\/a><\/strong> \u00a0Talk about budget-friendly decor, right?!<\/p>\n You may be able to find small palm-style plants at a greenhouse or landscape place.\u00a0 A fresh palm set in a pretty basket or bucket will make a perfect centerpiece to enjoy all summer long![\/et_pb_text][et_pb_image src=”https:\/\/robynsfrenchnest.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/Summer-Styling-6-scaled.jpg” alt=”a plant inside a metal bucket styled alongside a vintage book and unique sea sponges” title_text=”Summer Styling (6)” admin_label=”Greenery IMg” _builder_version=”4.18.0″ _module_preset=”default” global_colors_info=”{}”][\/et_pb_image][et_pb_text admin_label=”Greenery – ” _builder_version=”4.18.0″ _module_preset=”default” text_font_size=”16px” global_colors_info=”{}”]No matter where you live, summer is a great time to bring some of the lush, fresh greenery from around your home inside!<\/strong>\u00a0 Pretty branches tucked into a vintage vessel is my favorite summer centerpiece!<\/p>\n I especially love the vintage, European pickling jars<\/a><\/strong><\/span>\u00a0for summer.\u00a0 The tint of blue\/green<\/a><\/strong><\/span> gives an ever-so-subtle nod to beach glass and just a perfect hint of color!\u00a0 They make the perfect vases for summer greenery or flowers<\/strong>\u2026or look beautiful all on their own!<\/p>\n If you can’t locate the vintage European pickling jars, THESE<\/u> vases have a very similar look and coloring. \u00a0They are gorgeous!<\/a><\/strong>[\/et_pb_text][et_pb_image src=”https:\/\/robynsfrenchnest.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/Summer-Styling-9-scaled.jpg” alt=”small plant inside metal bucket styled for summer” title_text=”Summer Styling (9)” admin_label=”Greenery IMg” _builder_version=”4.18.0″ _module_preset=”default” global_colors_info=”{}”][\/et_pb_image][et_pb_divider _builder_version=”4.16″ _module_preset=”default” global_colors_info=”{}”][\/et_pb_divider][et_pb_text admin_label=”5.
