Our Christmas Playroom

by | Holidays

It won’t be like any Christmas we’ve ever had before…but then again, no Christmas is exactly the same.  Each year, my babies seem to grow too fast.  Their wish lists and letters to Santa seem like they should be filled with preschool toys.  And yet, cute hair clips, “just the right sneakers”, and a movie projector are topping the list of my soon-to-be-teenager’s list this year!

The plus side is that this year, my “babies” are excited elves…the kind that you don’t have to redo every task!  Our oldest even fluffed up our new flocked tree from King of Christmas!  We love the extra magic it adds to the playroom this year.

And we need all the magic!  It’s going to be a Christmas season full of sleepovers by the tree, pretend hot cocoa (that will probably cost me more than the real stuff!), and favorite Christmas stories read while cuddled in the tent. I linked a few of our favorites at the bottom of this post, though we could gift you our Polar Express book.  My little guy has it completely memorized!

Our whole family is enjoying this room.  I wanted it to have an extra cozy vibe, so I added throw pillows and strings of lights.  For some vintage touches, I added these wooden nutcrackers and our wooden advent house blocks.  The sign from @ann_marie_co blends with all the natural elements while reminding us that Santa will be visiting soon…and as the holiday catalogs have started rolling in, our kiddos are making their lists and checking them twice!

So while it will be a holiday season like none other, we have every intention of making it memorable in all the magical ways that you can only get at Christmas!  You’ll be able to find me drinking wooden hot cocoa under these lights all season long!

Blessings,

Robyn
