How to Make Simple Patriotic Wall Decor
1. Start with a Simple Patriotic Decor Inspiration Piece
This wall hanging planter from @eveagetools is such a budget-friendly way to make a great statement! Gathered items, featured in a collection, always draw the eye and what better way to display my small flags than in a simple patriotic decor collection?!
To hang this wall hanging planter, I added a rusty old nail to the frame of my mirror. Next, I simply hung the planter and added the glass vases. After that, I added small fern and palm branches, freshly cut from the trees in my yard and then added my flags.
When I am ready to transition to regular summer decor (or any other season!), I can use this wall hanging planter by just removing the flags and adding seasonal flowers or greenery. I also have an idea to use it to propagate some of my pothos plants, but that’s for another day, another post! 😉
I absolutely love having decor pieces that I can use in different parts of my home and especially when it can be used in so many fun ways, year round! This wall hanging planter is a perfect focal point over a mantel, in a gallery wall, to add life and dimension in a hallway, or even in a kitchen or bathroom! For just over $20, the size is perfect to be a statement piece!
2. Using your inspiration piece, add a few more simple patriotic decor touches
Note: you’re just adding a few touches! If you want to redecorate everything for the summer holidays, go for it! However, if you’re looking for simple and quick, you can still have a festive and beautiful space.
After hanging and decorating my inspiration wall hanging planter, I took a few more flags and added them to my existing summer decor. You can see from this “before” picture that it was so easy to give it a patriotic look in a matter of minutes!
