Notes From the Nest

It was a monumental week around our nest! How is it that our first baby girl is about to turn 16?! This week was all about celebrating her and we’ve had such a fun time. To get ready for her party so soon after Christmas meant our nest also needed some fluffing, so it’s been all about cozy winter decorating and lots and lots of candles!

Around Our Nest:

Payton turns 16 on January 21st! It’s hard to believe, especially since Robb and I aren’t aging at all?!?! Haha! Since she will be with her youth group at a retreat over her birthday weekend, we celebrated early with a fun cookout, volleyball, and a “Sweet 16” dessert bar!
We had fun making a “Sweet 16” Dessert Bar, so I’ll share that with you over on Instagram sometime soon. It would be super cute for Valentine’s Day too!
Also monumental is that she purchased her first car this week! We are so proud of her diligence to save for her first vehicle and her patience and wisdom in choosing a safe, reliable vehicle that will hopefully take her all the way through college! But wow! Talk about a feeling of your baby growing wings….
That has been the focus of our week but I’ve also been busy, still getting our house back in order after Christmas. This coming week starts some easy decluttering and freshening up organization, so stay tuned for that!

It’s been all about cozy, neutral, winter decor on Instagram this week!
