Notes From the Nest

by | From the Nest, Home

It was another fun week around our Nest, celebrating Valentine’s Day, getting ready for another upcoming birthday party, and keeping up with our busy kiddos!  Plus, I’m having fun squeezing in some creative moments to transition out of winter decor and into early spring.  I’m loving how it is coming together so far!

I hope you enjoy the Notes From Our Nest this week!

Around Our Nest:

  • Harrison and I had a chance to get creative together, making a Valentine’s box for school!  There aren’t good options out there for 10-year-old boys so we came up with his own and it turned out so cute!  Most of all, just some extra fun time spent together!
  • Speaking of Valentine’s Day, I survived all of the heart-shaped fun with 3-year-olds in my classroom!  Haha!  They are so cute and get so excited.  But it is tiring, I won’t lie!
  • I came across these ADORABLE bunny baskets to use for my classroom!!!
  • Some happy mail that I ordered on an  awesome clearance sale from Crate and Barrel arrived. I was immediately inspired to start decorating with!
  • Phase 548 (haha!) of our garage clean out is underway with the yard sale stuff gone!  Finally, we can start better organizing the things that actually go in there!
  • I have officially put away all winter decor and some spring touches are popping in!  I’m loving it!

Around the ‘Gram This Week:

  • Over on THIS video, I shared how I totally transitioned the dining room shelves from winter to spring with just a few quick and simple touches!  Hopefully it’s a good reminder that you don’t have to redecorate every inch for the seasons.  You can make a statement with key pieces listed in this caption!
  • Remember that clearance find from Crate & Barrel?  Check it out HERE!  I’m obsessed and still can’t believe the amazing deal I got on this!
  • Over on THIS post, I shared the back dining room buffet.  I had so much fun decorating this space, as it has basically set empty since the big Sweet 16 birthday bash!  It’s definitely looking like spring and I got to use some fun vintage finds from last fall that I haven’t decorated with before!

Around the Blog This Week:

  • The blog was busy this week and I am so excited to be sharing spring home decor, tips, and ideas with you!  I hope you’re finding it inspiring and pinning your favorite ideas to refer back to when you’re ready to decorate for spring too!
  • THIS blog post has 7 of my favorite ways to refresh my home for spring.  Hint: You’ll want to get started on these BEFORE you decorate for spring!
  • Over on THIS blog post, I joined the Thrifting with the Gals for more decor fun!  You may want to add some of these favorite thrifted home decor items to your hunting list for spring decor!
  • Then, THIS blog post is full of ideas to help you transition from winter to spring home decor whenever you’re ready!
  • Finally, Friday Favorites is a gorgeous round up of some favorite decor pieces that you can enjoy now and use to help transition your home from winter to spring too!

Around the Storefront This Week:

You all are starting to think about spring, too, based on your favorites this week!  Plus, there are some organizational and home refresh items hanging around too!  Here are the top sellers from this week.  You may want to add them to your cart, too, as there are some great deals that I shared throughout the week in my stories!

Here are some of the top sellers over on my storefront this week:
