Notes From the Nest

by | From the Nest

Woohoo!!!  We are officially on winter break and I am so ready to soak up every moment of fun and memories over the next couple of weeks.  We have so many fun things planned over the break and most of all, I look forward to spending extra time with my own kids!

I hope you enjoy the Notes From Our Nest this week!

Around Our Nest:

  • The kids wrapped up the last week of school for 2023 with final exams, project due dates, and parties!
  • We had fun watching our younger two participate in their voice and piano recitals; Christmas music is the best!
  • Our family enjoyed attending the sweetest wedding for friends of ours.  It is a busy time of year to get married but it always makes for a gorgeous occasion!
  • Our Advent calendar is counting down QUICKLY!  The time is flying by, so you’ll understand when I’m not around social media as much over the break!  Hopefully you’ll be enjoying the time with your friends and family too!
  • I had fun hosting a little Christmas party for friends!  We did a virtual charcuterie board class and then made our own individual “art” with THESE adorable reindeer charcuterie boards.  They really are the cutest things!

Around the ‘Gram This Week:

  • Instagram was fun this week; can you tell I LOVE Christmas?!
  • Over on this post, I shared a carousel of pictures of one of my favorite Christmas tablescapes ever!  I hope the details in the pictures give you some ideas and inspiration for your holiday tables.  You can shop my Christmas tablescape essentials HERE!
  • In stories, I’ve been sharing deals that pop up as I’m still working on my own Christmas shopping.  Every time I think I’m close to done, I remember another gift I need or want to get!  Haha!  Stay tuned in stories, though, because there have been some amazing sales!
  • THIS reel is so much fun to watch.  A friend of mine helped me whip up some adorable DIY gift bags and gift tags for the kids’ teachers.  They seriously turned out so super cute.  We have another project to share this coming week for a super special event, so stay tuned for that!
  • Over on this post, I shared some of my favorite close up views around our Christmas home.  I hope you enjoy a carousel of pictures of some of the details of our Christmas decor!

Around the Blog This Week:

  • This week’s blog posts are really for you to read, save, and set aside for AFTER Christmas!  But, I wanted to get this information to you so you are ready and prepared!
  • Over on THIS blog post, you can find my favorite tips and ideas for organizing and storing holiday decorations.  After many years of trying different things, we love our system now and it works so well that I thought it might help you too!  Hint: it’s simple and meant to be easy and feasible for the long-term!
  • Then, over on THIS blog post, I shared some ideas for New Year’s Eve decor and tables.  Since the week between Christmas and New Year’s goes so quickly, I love having things ready ahead of time for this fun evening with family and friends!
  • Friday Favorites is a fun mix up this week!  As I’ve been working on shopping for gifts and stocking stuffers, I’ve come across some clever and nifty ideas that I thought you might like too!  Honestly, I kind of want some of them for myself now too!

Around the Storefront This Week:

It’s been a great week around the storefront!  As I said earlier, there have been awesome sales starting up already, so make sure you’re following along in my Instagram stories each day!

Here are some of the top sellers over on my storefront this week:

  1.  THIS is my favorite garland of all & has been on huge sales lately!
  2. I LOVE this jingle bell garland!  It’s so easy to add anywhere in your home for Christmas!
  3. These ornaments are my must-haves for this season.  They are literally perfect!
  4. This automatic coffe mug warmer is the perfect gift for those hard-to-buy-for people on your list!
  5. Last but not least, this electronic accessory was a huge hit as a stocking stuffer this past week!

You can check this list on my storefront.  I update it daily with favorite deals that I think you’ll love too!

Coming Up This Week Around the Nest:

It’s going to be a quieter week, though I’ll be sharing and hopping in on Instagram stories.  I am being really intentional about spending as much time with my kids as I can during the winter break and I appreciate my community who understands that so well!  However, I do have some fun things that I plan on sharing!

  1. DIY project with the Cricut for a super special trip coming up!  Don’t miss my Instagram on Tuesday!!!
  2. Candlelight Christmas Home Tour
  3. Favorite simple Christmas treats to make with kids
  4. Stocking stuffer ideas
  5. A super fun day on Friday!!!
