Notes From the Nest

by | From the Nest, Home

Happy Sunday!  I hope you’ve had a great week!  It was a busy one around here as we got ready for a yard sale.  My kids’ also had friends visiting in town this week so they’ve had a blast doing extra fun things too.  Plus, I’ve had a great time sharing around the blog and Instagram with you this week.  So, let’s take a look at the week!

I hope you enjoy the Notes From Our Nest this week!

Around Our Nest:

  • We had a simultaneous yard sale and vintage pop up shop yesterday.  It was great to meet some of you and clear out some clutter too!  My little vintage pop up shop has some bare spots but there’s still some great pieces left so message me on Instagram if you want to make an appointment to come and browse around!
  • We are having such great “Florida winter” weather right now.  I’m trying to soak it up because summer heat will come before we know it!
  • Robb and I enjoyed a fun date night, a little early for Valentine’s Day!  Being the awesome guy he is, we stopped by Anthropologie.  So many goodies there right now!
  • I started packing up the winter decor and doing a tad bit of transitioning to early spring.  I can’t wait to start sharing all about it this week!
  • We are having fun trying to get the hang of playing pickle ball!  It’s so fun to play, especially with the gorgeous weather we are having!

Around the ‘Gram This Week:

  • Cozy was the theme for the week!  Even though the sun has been shining a lot more here, we are having cool evenings and it makes me want to enjoy all of the cozy layers!
  • Over on THIS video, I shared a quick and easy tutorial for a cozy candle centerpiece.  I used it on my dining room table but you could create one to use almost anywhere!  All you need is a favorite bowl, small rocks, and THESE flameless tapers!  Get the full tutorial HERE for a 5-minute, easy centerpiece!
  • Do you enjoy thrifting for old books?  If so, check out our winter music room!  I’m changing this space up soon but wanted to share my vintage library theme one more time!  I love all of the character of these thrifted books!
  • Over on THIS video, let me know which is your favorite small coffee table vignette!  I had fun gathering some of my favorite decor and sharing some easy ideas you can use to decorate your coffee table!

Around the Blog This Week:

  • There is SO MUCH coming up on the blog and I definitely shared some favorite ideas with you this past week too.
  • If you answered yes to thrifting for old books, you’ll enjoy THIS blog post with over 27 ideas to decorate your home with old thrifted books!  It’s one of my favorite ways to decorate!
  • Then, check out THIS blog post for small coffee table ideas and how to decorate them!  Even if you have a big coffee table, you can tweak these ideas to make them work for you too!
  • Friday Favorites is always fun!  This week, I curated some great decor accessories that you can use for decorating accent tables around your home.  Check them out HERE!

Around the Storefront This Week:

Organization and storage have stayed at the top of the list for awhile as we’ve all been working on refreshing our homes, clearing the clutter, and updating our essentials.  However, I’m starting to see the shift turn toward some early spring decor additions too.  I’m not sad about that!  There have been some great sales this week on home decor.  Remember to follow my Instagram stories every day to see my favorite daily deals too!

Here are some of the top sellers over on my storefront this week:

  1. These cherry blossoms are just gorgeous!  They bring spring vibes indoors!
  2. These outdoor string lights are going on my front porch soon and I can’t wait!
  3. You all know my obsession with throw pillows.  These inserts help me stay on budget!
  4. Well, well, well….look what made the list again!
  5. And let’s not forget these amazing mug hooks!

You can check this list on my storefront.  I update it daily with favorite deals that I think you’ll love too!

Coming Up This Week Around the Nest:

I am excited about lightening and brightening up my own home decor a little this coming week.  Of course, I’ll take you along with me!  Here are a few things I am hoping to get done this week:

  1. 7 easy ways to refresh your home for spring
  2. Taking down the winter greens and winter decor and slowly start transitioning to early spring decor
  3. Restyle the dining room shelves and add a simple centerpiece
  4. Thrifting With the Gals–and we are going to chat about my favorite thrifted decor for spring + what you should add to your thrifting list for spring too!
